Discounted Hovertravel Fares for Patients
We offer discounted fares for patients and a plus one travelling for NHS & Medical Appointments, subject to production of NHS appointment card, letter or text message at time of boarding. For easy travel to Portsmouth’s Queen Alexandra Hospital, the Stagecoach Route 18 operates from Clarence Pier bus stop A directly opposite our Southsea terminal. You can add your Stagecoach Portsmouth DayRider Bus Ticket to your flight booking.

Our free HoverCare service ensures accessible travel and can provide you with extra help on your journey if you require it.
- You can apply for a HoverCare card to identify your needs of travel.
- Show your HoverCare card to our staff when you travel and receive extra assistance without having to ask.
- Book HoverCare assistance once you have completed your ticket booking for your chosen flight, to request the help you need when you travel with us.
- Reserve a space on your chosen flight for wheelchair passengers, by completing our Book HoverCare assistance request.
NHS Patient Flexi Flyer
Our NHS Patient Flexi Flyer is available to purchase as 10 single journeys. Available to purchase in our terminals only, subject to production of NHS appointment card, letter or text message.

- NHS & Medical Appointment Fares are eligible for in, out & radiotherapy patients on production of appointment letter of card for hospital only.
- NHS & Medical Appointment Fare available for the patient + 1 (carer, friend, family, etc).
- To obtain visitor fares, the passenger must show a letter, appointment card or text message from the hospital they are visiting as proof.
- NHS & Medical Appointment Fare cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion .
- Hovertravel & Local PCT and NHS trusts will audit applications to guard against fraudulent use.
- Customers found misusing discounted tickets will incur a surcharge to the equivalent standard return fare and will be excluded from purchasing tickets under the scheme in future.
- Hovertravel reserves the right to review fares periodically and amend or withdraw this scheme at any time without prior notice.
